President Donald Trump targeted former President Barack Obama during a campaign rally in Corinth, Mississippi, on Monday, the Washington Examiner reported. Trump addressed comments Obama made on Saturday while rallying in Cleveland, Ohio, for Democratic Senate nominee Sherrod Brown. [2]

According to the Washington Examiner, Trump focused a significant portion of his speech on defending his White House decor, arguing that Obama's criticisms showed why Obama was a failed commander in chief. As FTMQ News reported earlier, Obama had mocked Trump's White House renovations during the Ohio campaign event, comparing the building's interior to a Cheesecake Factory managed by Saddam Hussein. [1][2][12]

The remarks sparked broader responses from Trump administration officials. CNBC reported that Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent ate dinner at a Cheesecake Factory restaurant on Monday and criticized Obama's comments ahead of the upcoming midterm elections. [6][7]
