President Donald Trump has rejected reports of plans to renovate the White House press briefing room, but he indicated he remains open to relocating journalists, according to the Washington Examiner. Reuters, The Hill, and The Independent also reported that Donald Trump suggested moving the press corps to a different location. [1][9][10][11]

The Washington Examiner noted that a report published by The New York Times earlier in the week claimed Donald Trump proposed renovating the James S. Brady Press Briefing Room. The proposal was reportedly made to former press secretary Karoline Leavitt before she departed her role in August. However, Donald Trump denied claims that the briefing room would be turned back into a swimming pool. [1]

The potential move follows a series of recent media restrictions imposed by the administration, the Washington Examiner reported. As FTMQ News reported earlier, the White House has faced ongoing press disputes, including legal threats from CNN after journalists were denied access to Air Force One four times, despite a court injunction. [1][14]

The White House serves as the official residence and workplace of the president of the United States, located at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW in Washington, D.C. Donald Trump is currently serving as the 47th president of the United States. [12][13]
