Rock band ACDC brought out Foo Fighters lead singer Dave Grohl to perform Highway to Hell at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on October 2. Billboard, Rolling Stone, Consequence, and Stereogum all reported that the performance took place during the final concert of ACDC's Power Up tour. [1][2][3][4]

Foo Fighters served as the surprise opening act for the show, which Rolling Stone, Consequence, and Stereogum noted was the second time the band filled in during the tour. Stereogum noted that Foo Fighters filled in for the Pretty Reckless. Rolling Stone and Stereogum reported that the concert was originally scheduled for September 25, but a nor'easter along the East Coast forced the date to be rescheduled to October 2. [2][3][4]

During his band's opening set, Grohl recalled watching ACDC's Let There Be Rock concert film when he was 11 years old and stated that the experience changed his life, Consequence reported. David Eric Grohl gained fame as the drummer for the grunge band Nirvana before founding Foo Fighters, where he acts as the lead singer and guitarist. [3][7]

Rolling Stone reported that the New Jersey concert was the final scheduled show on ACDC's two-year-long Power Up Tour, marking their last planned date for the foreseeable future. [2]
