An undocumented immigrant from Venezuela was arrested near the White House on Thursday evening, the New York Post and News Radio 1200 WOAI both reported. The US Secret Service approached the suspect after officers spotted him acting suspicious inside a parked car on Constitution Avenue in Washington, DC, according to the Department of Homeland Security. [1][3]

The Department of Homeland Security told Fox News that the suspect claimed he heard voices in his head telling him to go to the capital and kill President Donald Trump, the New York Post reported. Law enforcement officers subsequently discovered that the vehicle was stolen. [1]

Inside the stolen vehicle, officers found an AR-15-style rifle alongside two handguns, according to the New York Post. [1]

Threats against political figures have prompted federal action in recent months. As FTMQ News reported earlier, federal authorities arrested a 17-year-old in Texas on October 5, 2026, after he allegedly acquired a firearm to target Representative Keith Self. [6]
