The New York Post reported that the Alexander brothers allegedly paid independent journalists to publish favorable coverage during their federal sex-trafficking trial. Journalists Daniel Mael and Frank Parlato have both denied the allegations that they accepted up to $15,000 from the brothers. [1]
According to the New York Post, the payments were allegedly arranged by Tal Alexander and his twin brothers, Oren and Alon Alexander, in an effort to defeat their federal charges before their conviction. The three brothers were convicted in March on federal charges including conspiracy to commit sex crimes, involving minors, and sex trafficking by force. [1][4]
As FTMQ News reported earlier, US District Judge Valerie E. Caproni sentenced Oren, Tal, and Alon Alexander in a New York City federal court on October 27. Each brother received a 30-year prison sentence following their conviction on 10 federal counts, after federal prosecutors had initially requested life sentences for all three defendants. [1][4]
