Air Force commando falls during pregame demonstration at Texas stadium

An Air Force commando fell dozens of feet while rappelling from the rafters before a college football game on Saturday, the New York Post reported. The incident took place at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, during a pregame military demonstration. [1]

The unnamed service member slammed into the turf during a fast-rope demonstration that involved four military personnel, according to the New York Post. The demonstration was part of a Salute to Armed Forces and Veterans game between the University of Texas at San Antonio and Navy. [1]

Video shared on social media captured the airman losing control and slipping down the line as fans screamed in the background, the New York Post reported. Witness Adrian Corey said that everybody was quiet and the band stopped performing after the fall occurred. Medical officials rushed to assist the commando. [1]
