A drunk driver was sentenced to seven years in prison after a 2023 crash in Dallas, Texas, that killed one college student and seriously injured another, the New York Post reported. Lynlee Pollis, aged 30, was convicted of intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault. [1]

According to the New York Post, the September 2023 crash resulted in the death of Southern Methodist University student Honor Wallace. Her friend Catherine Solberg was left seriously injured in the incident. [1]

During the court proceedings, the victim's father, David Wallace, told Pollis to own what she did after taking their most precious gift through her selfishness, the New York Post reported. [1]

Under unusual parole terms, Pollis must return to jail for 15 days annually for a decade following her release from prison, the New York Post said. These annual jail terms will cover Christmas, her own birthday, and the birthdays of the two victims. [1]
