Woman sues Oregon nail salon after contracting genital herpes

A 31 year old woman filed a 2.5 million dollar lawsuit on Monday against PDX Nails, a nail salon in Portland, Oregon. The New York Post reported that the woman claims she contracted genital herpes during an acrylic manicure appointment at the business last year. [1]

The plaintiff, who is identified in court documents as J.S., stated that the experience was quite embarrassing. The legal filing alleges that she is the second customer in two years to contract the virus after receiving services at the salon, according to the New York Post citing court records and reporting by The Oregonian.
