The United States Department of Justice has agreed to drop charges and not prosecute former CIA analyst Sue Mi Terry, according to court documents filed on Tuesday. The decision to halt the prosecution was reported by the New York Post, Politico, Reuters, The New York Times, TradingView, and Korea JoongAng Daily. [1][2][8][9][10][11]

Federal prosecutors previously accused Sue Mi Terry in 2024 of acting as a secret agent for the intelligence service of South Korea, as reported by the New York Post. The outlet added that prosecutors alleged she shared nonpublic government information, arranged access for South Korean officials to United States officials, and accepted luxury gifts in exchange for promoting South Korean government viewpoints during media appearances. Korea JoongAng Daily reported that while the United States has deferred the prosecution of Sue Mi Terry, limits have been placed on her contacts with South Korea. [11]
