Thick fog is forecast to affect parts of the United Kingdom this week, creating dangerous travel conditions for morning motorists. The BBC News reported that weather across the country will turn calmer following recent storms, bringing widespread mist and fog at times. [1]

According to BBC News, Wednesday will feature sunny spells and showers before lighter winds on Thursday allow extensive fog to form. This fog is expected to cause difficult driving conditions during the Thursday morning rush hour. [1]

Rain is also expected toward the end of the week. BBC News noted that as high pressure builds into November, additional mist and fog will continue to develop next week. [1]

A traffic collision occurs when a vehicle collides with another vehicle, pedestrian, animal, road debris, or stationary object. Road transport is statistically the most dangerous situation that people encounter on a daily basis. [2]
