The United States military carried out a lethal strike on a vessel in the eastern Pacific Ocean on October 27, 2026. Fox News reported that United States Southern Command confirmed five people described as narco-terrorists were killed in the operation. [1]

According to a statement from Southern Command reported by Fox News, Joint Task Force Western Hemisphere executed the kinetic strike against a go-fast vessel. The military command stated that confirmed intelligence showed the vessel was actively involved in drug trafficking along established routes in the eastern Pacific. Video footage of the incident showed the vessel erupting into a large fireball. [1]

The strike comes amid broader military operations against regional drug networks. As FTMQ News reported earlier, the Pentagon deployed roughly 600 Army soldiers from the 10th Mountain Division, based at Fort Drum in New York, to Latin America for jungle training and joint exercises in Panama. [2]
