Financial technology firm Revolut announced on Monday the launch of Revolut Ventures, Euronews reported. The new platform was developed alongside Carne Group to provide eligible investors with access to private technology companies. This investment market has traditionally been reserved for wealthy individuals and large institutions, according to Euronews. [1]
Euronews reported that private technology companies are waiting longer before listing on public markets. Figures cited by Revolut show that the median age of a private technology company at listing increased from 6.9 years in 2014 to 11 years in 2025. Because of this trend, more company growth occurs before shares become available to retail investors on public markets. [1]
Revolut is a British multinational neobank headquartered in London, England. It was founded in July 2015 by Nik Storonsky, a former equity derivatives trader at Credit Suisse, and Vlad Yatsenko, a former software engineer at Deutsche Bank. The company offers digital banking services through a mobile app. [2][3]
As FTMQ News reported earlier, Revolut's banking services experienced network disruptions on October 20 due to a power outage at a Google Cloud data centre in London. [4]
