Fox News schedules JD Vance town hall ahead of midterms

Fox News announced on Monday that host Jesse Watters will moderate a pre-taped town hall with Vice President JD Vance on Thursday, October 29. Fox News and PR Newswire reported that the one-hour event will air at 8 p.m. Eastern Time during Jesse Watters Primetime. [1][8]

The town hall will take place in Fort Worth, Texas. Fox News reported that the program will allow Vance to speak directly to voters about critical national issues less than one week before Election Day. The network noted that the event comes as the Republican party faces potential political challenges in Texas, a state that has not elected a Democrat in a statewide race for more than 30 years. [1]

Watters began hosting Jesse Watters Primetime on Fox News in January 2022 after previously co-hosting The Five and appearing on The O'Reilly Factor. Vance serves as the 50th vice president of the United States after previously representing Ohio in the United States Senate. [9][10]

As FTMQ News reported earlier, Vance recently stated at a Michigan town hall that he will weigh family considerations before making any decision on a potential 2028 presidential bid following the midterm elections. [11]
