The New York Post reported that Rebellion PAC repurposed a controversial advertisement to support Abdul El Sayed, the Democratic nominee in the 2026 United States Senate election in Michigan. Cenk Uygur, co founder of The Young Turks and uncle of streamer Hasan Piker, originally used the ad for his 2024 presidential campaign. [1][2]

According to the New York Post, the advertisement depicts a couple at a grocery store placing the blame for high food prices on United States financial aid to Israel. The original video was deployed by Uygur to promote calls for a cease fire in Gaza during his failed presidential run. [1]

El Sayed is an American epidemiologist, public health administrator, academic, and politician. As FTMQ News reported earlier, former President Barack Obama recently campaigned for El Sayed at a rally in Detroit, where supporters expressed backing for guaranteed income initiatives. [2][3][4]
