Police investigate after dead body is found near Disneyland Resort entrance

Authorities launched a police investigation after a man was found dead at the edge of the Disneyland Resort property in California on Sunday, the New York Post reported. Emergency responders were called to 800 West Katella Avenue at approximately 1:45 p.m. Paramedics pronounced the man deceased at the scene. [1]

Police officers cordoned off the sidewalk with yellow crime scene tape and set up a black privacy partition under a large, arched blue Disneyland Resort entrance sign, according to the New York Post. The partition screened the body from passing vehicles and pedestrians. Pedestrians were redirected around the blocked area while authorities processed the location. [1]

The investigation is centered in Anaheim, California, where the Disneyland Resort is located. The entertainment resort is owned and operated by the Walt Disney Company through its Experiences division. The property includes two theme parks, three hotels, and the Downtown Disney shopping, dining, and entertainment district. [1][2]

Anaheim police and Anaheim Fire and Rescue handled the initial emergency response at the site, the New York Post reported. Further details regarding the man's identity or the cause of death have not yet been released by the authorities. [1]
