Gardaí have launched an investigation after the bodies of a man and a woman were discovered at a house in Bray, County Wicklow, on Wednesday morning. The Irish Examiner, Gript, and the Irish Independent all reported that the discovery was made at a property in Cois Cairn, located on Old Connaught Avenue, around 8:00am. Both individuals were pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Irish Independent. [1][2][3]
The Irish Examiner and Gript both reported that the man's body was found outside the house in the front garden. The Irish Examiner identified the man locally as Jamie McGinn, who was in his 30s. The woman was identified by the Irish Examiner as Biddy O'Brien, who was in her 40s. Gript reported that her body was discovered in an upstairs room inside the house. [1][2]
According to the Irish Examiner, the deaths have brought renewed attention to a 2017 fire in Clondalkin. That earlier incident claimed the lives of four family members, including two children. [1]
