The Philippine interior minister stated that signs suggest Thomas Markle Sr, the father of the Duchess of Sussex, may be a sex offender, according to the Guardian. The minister noted that a full forensic investigation will provide a definitive picture of the situation. The statement comes as authorities conduct forensic analysis on discovered images. [1]
Thomas Markle Sr has denied possessing child sexual abuse images, the Guardian and the New York Post both report. Speaking to the Daily Mail on Sunday, Markle stated that he has never had sex with anyone under eighteen years old. The New York Post reported that Markle denied child molestation claims while admitting he slept with prostitutes when single and had visited the Philippines. [1][2]
As FTMQ News reported earlier, the Duchess of Sussex severed contact with her father in 2025 after British police informed her of child abuse allegations against him in 2019. Markle previously called the allegations sick lies. FTMQ News also noted earlier that the Metropolitan Police are not investigating Markle and did not pass allegations to other police forces. [3][4]
Authorities are continuing their full forensic analysis of the images found during the investigation, according to the Guardian. [1]
