The Duchess of Sussex broke off contact with her father last year after informing him that she and the authorities knew about claims he abused young girls, BBC News reported. Sources close to the duchess stated that she sent a letter warning Thomas Markle he would never meet his grandchildren. [1]
The letter was delivered to Markle, who is 82 years old, while he was in a hospital in the Philippines receiving treatment for an amputated leg. Reports indicate that images of child sexual abuse were allegedly discovered at his former home in the Philippines, and British police informed Meghan about the claims in 2019. Markle currently lives in the United States and denies all the allegations. [1]
As FTMQ News reported earlier, the Metropolitan Police confirmed receiving a letter in 2019 about the claims involving Markle. Police shared that information with the office of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, but they did not pass the allegations to other law enforcement agencies. The Metropolitan Police confirmed they are not investigating Markle, who called the claims sick lies. [3][4]
Meghan is married to Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, who is a member of the British royal family. Prince Harry is the younger son of King Charles III and Diana, Princess of Wales, and sits fifth in the line of succession to the British throne. [2]
