Authorities in New Jersey have arrested a woman who allegedly lied about her boyfriend setting her on fire during a camping trip, according to the New York Post. Chelsea M. Villano, 33, of Eatontown, New Jersey, was arrested after new information emerged that contradicted her initial claims. Her boyfriend was subsequently released from custody. [1]

The New York Post reported that emergency responders in Plumsted Township received a 911 call on October 15 about a woman who had been burned and left behind at a campsite in the Pine Barrens. Villano originally reported that her boyfriend had burned her and left her to die. [1]

Following an investigation, the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office charged Villano with two counts of falsely incriminating another person, the New York Post reported. [1]
