House Democrats are planning to form a UFO caucus to lead transparency efforts if they take control of the House of Representatives after the midterms, the New York Post reported. Representative Andre Carson, a Democrat from Indiana, stated that Democrats intend to take over the issue from Republicans. [1]
Democrats accuse Republicans and the Trump administration of delaying promises regarding transparency, according to the New York Post. If Democrats win the House majority, the proposed caucus and select committee would replace the current Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets, which is led by Republican Representative Anna Paulina Luna of Florida. Carson previously chaired the first congressional hearing on UFOs in 2022 and has worked to bring the topic into mainstream congressional debate, the New York Post reported. [1]
As FTMQ News reported earlier, the United States midterm elections are scheduled to take place on November 3, 2026. [2]
