Yahoo and The Times of India reported that the child's parents claimed police were called because the boy was too good at soccer and was outplaying five-year-olds. [3][5][6]

Fox News reported that a Black league official said the parents of the three-year-old were causing a disturbance at the game. Fox News stated that body camera footage from the incident revealed a very different story from accusations of racism made regarding the police response. [1]
