ABC News Australia and the New York Post reported that pitcher Jacob Misiorowski threw five and two-thirds scoreless innings and rookie Cooper Pratt added two hits and two runs batted in during the Game 5 victory at Tropicana Field. The 2026 World Series was the 122nd edition of the championship series. Catcher William Contreras earned World Series Most Valuable Player honors after batting .381 during the five games. During the postgame celebrations, the New York Post reported that Brewers manager Pat Murphy referenced the 2023 New York Yankees while speaking with former Yankees player Jake Bauers. Bauers had presented Murphy with the baseball from the final out of Game 5. [4]
