Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, will appear together on Thursday at three charity events in Nottingham in the East Midlands. The Daily Mail and West Bridgford Wire both report that the couple are making three visits in the city. The Daily Mail reported that the events include a visit to a community food project that was established in the wake of the Grenfell Tower tragedy. [1][3]

The Daily Mail, The London Evening Standard, and The News International all report that this is the first joint public appearance for the couple since moving back to the United Kingdom. According to the Daily Mail, a friend of the Duchess stated that Meghan intends to keep such appearances rare, as she sees herself as a full-time mother and entrepreneur rather than a working royal. [1][4][6]

Meghan is an American entrepreneur, actress, and media personality who is married to Prince Harry, the younger son of King Charles III. Prince Harry served in the British Army for ten years and established the Invictus Games in 2014. The couple previously stepped back from their royal duties and moved to California in 2020. As FTMQ News reported earlier, Meghan was seen in London earlier this month for a dinner with Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai. [7][10][11]

Nottingham is a city located in Nottinghamshire in the East Midlands region of England. It is situated 42 miles south-east of Sheffield and 54 miles north-east of Birmingham. The city received its city charter in 1897 during Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee celebrations. [9]
