Minister of State for Migration Colm Brophy announced over 3.2 million euros in supports for 34 initiatives nationwide, Radio Kerry reported. The funding is provided under the Ireland Against Racism Fund 2026. The scheme supports organisations working to challenge racism, promote equality, and foster inclusion in local communities. [1]
Radio Kerry reported that the South Kerry Development Partnership has been allocated 59,500 euros. The funds will support its project titled Kerry Belongs, which is a county wide anti-racism campaign. [1]
The Irish Travellers Movement will receive 250,000 euros for its Yellow Flag Programme, according to Radio Kerry. The organisation operates in Kerry as well as 12 other counties. [1]
As FTMQ News reported earlier, the allocation follows another recent national support package for projects in County Kerry. The Irish government recently allocated funding to establish a new disability service hub in Tralee, which will expand day service capacity to 40 places. [4]
