England have defeated Australia at Twickenham in rugby union's Nations Championship. The outlets differ on the final score. The Guardian, the Daily Mail and Sky Sports reported that England won 45-22, while Radio Kerry stated the final score was 38-15. [1][2][3][4][7]

According to the Guardian, George, Chessum and Heyes scored first-half tries for England. Henry Pollock came on in the second half, playing out of position on the wing, and scored two tries, Radio Kerry, the Guardian and Sky Sports reported. The Guardian added that England scored seven tries in total, whereas Radio Kerry reported six tries. [1][2][3][7]

The Daily Mail reported that the win earned England a bonus point, moving them into second place in the Nations Championship table. As FTMQ News reported earlier, England's women's team previously suffered back-to-back losses to Canada in the WXV Series in October 2026. [1][4][14]

The win comes after what the Guardian described as a turbulent few days following newspaper reports regarding head coach Steve Borthwick. The Independent reported that the result showed faith in Borthwick, while Sky Sports noted that the victory provided a morale boost for the team. [2][6][7]
