Jacob Misiorowski Sets MLB Record For Fastest Postseason Pitch

Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Jacob Misiorowski set the record for the fastest postseason pitch in Major League Baseball history, Yahoo Sports reported. He is in his second season in the league and now holds three Major League Baseball records. [1][3]

The achievement adds to several accolades for the pitcher this week. The Washington Post reported that Misiorowski was voted the top pitcher by Baseball Digest, while Pete Crow-Armstrong won player of the year. Misiorowski made his Major League Baseball debut in 2025 and earned his first All-Star appearance that same year. In 2026, he set the record for the fastest pitch thrown by a starting pitcher since speed tracking began in 2008. On September 8, 2026, he became the first pitcher in league history to throw 1,000 pitches at 100 miles per hour or faster in a single season. [7]
