The Irish Government plans to make the application in order to search for and publish technical documents about burials on the Cork site. [1]
According to irishexaminer.com, the burial records of hundreds of children and women from the institution remain missing. Bessborough operated as the largest mother and baby institution in Ireland between 1922 and 1998. [1]
