Former Conservative candidate Jack Ross worked in Kemi Badenoch office

Former Conservative election candidate Jack Ross was suspended after being filmed discussing the cost of hiring contract killers, according to the Guardian and AOL.co.uk. Sources close to the Conservative leader said that Mr Ross worked as a social media consultant in Kemi Badenoch's office as recently as last year. [1][3]

The Guardian reported that Mr Ross faces a party investigation following an undercover report. He was filmed apparently asking an undercover reporter, "What do you want done?", and offering to broker services for an alleged far-right paramilitary group. Police in Scotland are involved in the case. [1]

Kemi Badenoch has served as Leader of the Opposition and Leader of the Conservative Party since 2024. She previously held positions in the Cabinet under prime ministers Liz Truss and Rishi Sunak between 2022 and 2024, and has served as a Member of Parliament since 2017. [5][6]
