Eric Trump expressed support for a Federal Communications Commission investigation into an erroneous ABC News report about his family business dealings, Fox News reported. Senator Bernie Moreno, Republican of Ohio, called on the agency to probe what led to the online article, according to reports from Fox News, Cleveland.com, and Sean Hannity. The network published the report last week under a headline linking investments by the sons of Donald Trump to billions in Pentagon contracts, Fox News reported. [1][3][6]

The ABC News report was initially deleted without explanation before being republished with a correction, Fox News reported. Just The News reported that the network published a revised version of the previously deleted article. Media Nation reported that the network allegedly attempted to cover up why it originally pulled the story. [1][4][5]

The article focused on investments connected to defense contractor Anduril Industries, according to Fox News and Sean Hannity. In response to the call for an investigation, Eric Trump stated on social media that he could not wait to participate, Fox News reported. [1][6]

Eric Frederick Trump is an American businessman and the second son of Donald Trump, who previously established a charitable foundation and managed golf developments for the Trump Organization. In related legal actions, ABC filed a lawsuit challenging early license renewal demands from the agency and its chairman Brendan Carr, alleging the commission sought to evade judicial review, Variety reported.
