Red Bull Racing paid former Formula One team principal Christian Horner 33.5 million pounds in compensation for loss of office after his departure from the team. The Daily Mail reported that corporate documents filed this week at Companies House revealed the payout details. Celebrity Net Worth also reported that corporate filings confirmed a buyout was paid to Horner. [1][4]

Horner left his role following an investigation into allegations of coercive behaviour. The Daily Mail reported that the woman who made the accusations against him was recently released from her latest role in motor racing. Horner maintains a home in Oxfordshire and London with his wife, former Spice Girls singer Geri Halliwell, who supported him publicly throughout the process. [1][6]

Horner served as the team principal and chief executive officer of Red Bull in Formula One from 2005 to 2025. During his tenure, the team won six World Constructors Championship titles between 2010 and 2023. Red Bull Racing is owned by the Austrian energy drink company Red Bull GmbH, which also owns several professional sports teams worldwide. [5][7][8]

Reports regarding the departure financial details varied in other outlets before the filing details emerged. The Oxford Mail previously noted an 80 million pound figure regarding his departure. Meanwhile, Giles Richards reported in the Guardian that Red Bull has seen recent improvements to its car, with driver Max Verstappen taking a victory at the Grand Prix in Malaysia. [2][3]
