Arsenal extended their lead at the top of the Premier League to six points on Saturday following a 1-0 victory over Hull City at the Emirates Stadium. Radio Kerry and Sky Sports both reported that Martin Odegaard scored the winning goal for the defending champions to break Hull's resistance. [1][8]

Radio Kerry reported that Manchester City could reduce Arsenal's lead back to three points with a victory at Nottingham Forest later in the day. The outlet also detailed that Leeds United earned a 1-0 home victory against Tottenham Hotspur, securing their first league win since September and lifting manager Daniel Farke's team into eighth place above Spurs heading into the international break. CBS Sports reported that Arsenal accumulated a league-high 35 offside infractions across their first 10 matches, with Kai Havertz leading the Premier League in offsides following the match against Hull City. Separately, The Guardian reported that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta defended the club's management of midfielder Declan Rice, insisting that they are taking care of him more than in any previous season after he was named in the England squad by Thomas Tuchel. [4][5]

The latest victory follows Arsenal's 1-0 win against Liverpool at Anfield, which had initially moved the team three points clear at the top of the standings, as FTMQ News reported earlier. Arsenal compete in the top tier of English football, where 20 clubs play 38 matches each in a season running from August to May. [13][14][17]
