Amanda Serrano targets final bout in Puerto Rico before retirement

Puerto Rican boxer Amanda Serrano is preparing for her farewell fight in San Juan on 9 January 2027, the BBC reported. The seven-division world champion will defend her unified WBO and WBA featherweight titles against Skye Falzon of Australia. [1]

The upcoming event has been dubbed The Last Walk by promoters, according to the BBC. Serrano stated at a news conference that she wants people to remember her as a game-changer who gave everything in the ring. [1]

Serrano holds a professional boxing record of 50 wins, four losses, and one draw, with 32 knockouts, the BBC reported. She previously announced that she will retire from the sport following this final bout on home soil. [1]

Serrano is the first undisputed four-belt world champion from Puerto Rico, having achieved the feat at featherweight in 2023. She also holds the Guinness World Record for the most boxing world championships won in different weight classes by a female athlete. [3]
