Britain's public spending watchdog reported that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor earned up to 2,678 dollars a month by renting out three cottages in Windsor Great Park. UPI reported on Friday that the earnings came from properties located in the grounds of Royal Lodge, where he resided without paying rent. [1]
The report by the Public Accounts Committee stated that lawmakers examined leases on royal properties. According to UPI, the committee could not calculate the total amount of money that went to Andrew during his 22 years at the 30-room lodge, and it recommended a future ban on subletting. [1]
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is the third child and second son of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. He is a younger brother of King Charles III and stood eighth in the line of succession to the British throne in 2026. [3]
As FTMQ News reported earlier, police in Scotland have been investigating visits made by convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein alongside Andrew to Balmoral Castle. KSBW also reported earlier that Andrew was called to testify in a civil case, making him the first royal to receive a witness summons in 156 years. [2][4]
