The League of Legends in-game K-pop group K/DA released a new single and music video titled Firestarter on Monday. According to UPI and 게임메카, this is the group's first new song in six years. K/DA is a virtual girl group made up of the League of Legends characters Ahri, Kai'Sa, Evelynn, and Akali, as UPI reported. [1][2]
UPI reported that the vocals for Firestarter are performed by real-life musical artists Sophie Powers, Mimi Webb, and I-dle members Miyeon and Soyeon. The animated music video for the track was created alongside Fortiche, the French animation studio responsible for the Netflix series Arcane, which is set in the League of Legends universe, according to UPI. League of Legends is a free-to-play multiplayer online battle arena video game developed and published by Riot Games, which first launched in October 2009. The game is currently holding its sixteenth annual international esports tournament, the 2026 League of Legends World Championship, across the United States from 15 October to 14 November. [5][7]
