A senior United Arab Emirates official is cautiously optimistic about negotiations between the United States and Iran, Fox News reported. Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, chairman of the defense, foreign affairs, and armed forces committee, cited progress through Qatari mediation in recent days while warning that the threat of military conflict persists in the Middle East. [1]
Al Nuaimi expressed hope that both sides could build trust to avoid war and reach a political solution, Fox News reported. However, he stated that he does not exclude the possibility of military confrontation. The talks come as regional tensions remain high despite diplomatic efforts mediated by Qatar. [1]
The diplomatic developments follow earlier efforts by the United States administration to engage Tehran. As FTMQ News reported earlier, United States Vice President JD Vance contacted Iranian official Mohsen Rezaei to propose resuming comprehensive peace negotiations, including discussions regarding Iran's nuclear program. President Donald Trump confirmed that he authorized the letter. [5]
In a separate move reported earlier by FTMQ News, the United States government offered up to 20 million dollars for information on Iranian nuclear facilities, personnel, and related technologies. The State Department program promised potential relocation and solicited tips through secure communication platforms. [6]
