A top political action committee affiliated with Donald Trump is stopping planned financial spending in two key congressional districts, Fox News reported. The super PAC, MAGA Inc., is pulling its planned investments from districts represented by Representative Tom Kean of New Jersey and Representative Marianette Miller-Meeks of Iowa. [1]
The funding shift comes with less than a month remaining before Election Day. Fox News reported that a leadership-aligned super PAC, the Congressional Leadership Fund, is also withdrawing its funds from the same two districts to redirect money elsewhere in the fight for the House majority. Newser separately reported that Republican super PACs have effectively conceded three House seats. [1][8]
The House Republican Conference serves as the main party caucus for Republicans in the United States House of Representatives, organizing legislative meetings and party communications. [9]
The withdrawal of financial backing puts added pressure on House Republicans as the party tries to maintain its narrow majority in the upcoming election. [1]
In short
- MAGA Inc. is pulling planned spending from districts represented by Rep. Tom Kean and Rep. Marianette Miller-Meeks.
- The Congressional Leadership Fund is also pulling cash from those districts to reroute into other races.
- The decision comes less than a month before Election Day.
