United States President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that he will spend more than 400 million dollars to back Republican candidates ahead of the upcoming midterm elections. UPI and the Guardian both reported that the money will be spent through his political operation, including the political action committee MAGA Incorporated. Trump called the vote the most important midterm elections in the history of the country. [1][4]

UPI reported that the funds come from MAGA Incorporated and an associated non-profit organisation named Securing American Greatness. Trump stated in a social media post that it was his great honor to provide the funding on behalf of the Republican Party. According to the Guardian, Trump also cited recent riots in France as part of his reasoning for supporting the political effort. [1][4]

Separately, Politico reported that the Trump administration has announced an eight billion dollar relief program aimed at helping farmers cover losses. The initiative comes as Republican lawmakers seek to bolster their electoral prospects in key agricultural regions. [2][3]

The United States midterm elections are scheduled to take place on November 3, 2026. Voters across the nation will decide all 435 seats in the U.S. House of Representatives and 35 seats in the U.S. Senate during the second term of Trump's presidency. [13]
