A court heard on Tuesday that a husband who drugged and raped his wife arranged for sedatives to be sent to his deceased mother-in-law's home. The Daily Mail reported that co-defendant David Graves offered in January 2021 to send the husband an unknown substance after the two met online. [1]

Prosecutor Louise Oakley told the trial that the husband provided the address of his wife's late mother because the house was empty. Graves is currently on trial alongside eight other men who are accused of being involved in abusing the woman. Jurors heard that Graves had encouraged the husband to carry out the rapes. [1]

In a separate case in Greater Manchester, Karl Lindsay previously admitted to offences related to the drugging and sexual assault of a woman between 2015 and 2025, as FTMQ News reported earlier. In that case, the victim's husband had already admitted to 62 offences committed against his wife. [5]
