Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green ejected in win over Phoenix Suns

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green earned his first ejection of the season during the second half of Monday night's game against the Phoenix Suns, UPI and the New York Post reported. UPI reported that the Warriors won the game 116-113 in San Francisco. [1][3]

The incident occurred about two minutes into the second half while Golden State trailed Phoenix 68-57, according to the New York Post and UPI. Green wrapped his arms around Phoenix center Khaman Maluach and threw him to the floor near the rim, Fox News and the New York Post reported. The action earned Green his first technical foul of the evening, UPI said. [1][2][3]

Green then became involved in an altercation with Suns player Dillon Brooks, UPI and Fox News reported. Green grabbed the jersey of Brooks, according to Fox News. UPI and the New York Post reported that Green received a second technical foul for the secondary run-in, resulting in an immediate ejection from the game. [1][2][3]

Green is a four-time NBA champion, four-time NBA All-Star, and won the NBA Defensive Player of the Year award in 2017 [10]. Teammate Stephen Curry told reporters after the game that Green lit a fire in the team and praised how the Warriors responded to win the game, UPI reported. [1][10]
