St Michael's College from Listowel won the Kerry Colleges Senior Football Championship by defeating St Brendan's Killarney in Tralee on Thursday, the Irish Examiner reported. The final of the O'Sullivan Cup ended with a scoreline of 2-16 to 3-12. Joint captains Odhran Buckley and Ronan Sheridan received the trophy following the match. [1]

The match was decided in the final moments by a late free kick from Odhran Buckley, according to the Irish Examiner. The victory marks the first O'Sullivan Cup title for St Michael's in 48 years. The win also makes them only the third non-Corn Uí Mhuirí school in 30 years to claim the Kerry title. [1]

St Michael's College is an all-boys secondary school located in Listowel, serving the town and the greater north Kerry area. The school sits on the banks of the River Feale along Cahirdown Road. [2]

Christy Killeen and Weeshie Lynch of Kerry Post Primary Schools presented the O'Sullivan Cup to the winning joint captains after the game, the Irish Examiner reported. [1]
