Six year old girl injured by falling brick in Queens

A six year old girl was injured when a falling brick struck her while walking with her mother in Queens on Thursday evening, the New York Post reported. The incident occurred at approximately 7:35 p.m. on 59th Street near Maspeth Avenue in the Maspeth neighborhood, according to police and sources cited by the publication. [1]

The child sustained a cut on her head and a broken femur from the blow, according to authorities. First responders transported the girl to Bellevue Hospital, where she remained conscious, alert, and in stable condition, the New York Post said. Officials indicated that no criminality is suspected in the event. [1]
