New York police investigate death of five year old girl in Queens

The New York City Police Department is investigating the death of a five year old girl in Queens, the New York Post reported. Officers responded to a 911 call regarding an assault inside a home in the South Richmond Hill neighborhood shortly before 7 p.m. on Wednesday night. [1]

Upon arriving at the scene, police discovered the child unconscious and unresponsive, according to the New York Post. Emergency Medical Services transported the young girl in critical condition to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead. [1]
