King Charles III led senior members of the Royal Family as they paid tribute to British service personnel at the annual Festival of Remembrance. BBC News and The Telegraph both reported that the King and Queen Camilla were joined by the Prince and Princess of Wales at the Royal Albert Hall in London. The event took place on the eve of Remembrance Sunday. [1][5][6][7]

The event commemorated those who lost their lives in service. BBC News reported that an audience stood and a fanfare played as the royal family entered the concert hall. Serving personnel and bereaved families were also among those attending the service. [1]

The Telegraph noted that the ceremony served as a tribute to those lost in recent conflicts. The Herts Advertiser reported that the King and Queen led applause during the gathering at the concert hall. [2][9]

A royal family is the immediate family of monarchs and sometimes their extended family. As FTMQ News reported earlier, traditional remembrance poppies are typically used to raise funds for armed forces veterans and serving personnel. [10][13]

BBC News reported that the King will next lead the nation in two minutes of silence during the main Remembrance Sunday commemorations. [1]
