Campus police served search warrants on two fraternity houses at West Virginia University on Monday as part of an ongoing hazing probe, the New York Post reported. Officers raided the Lambda Chi Alpha and Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity houses in Morgantown, carrying out multiple bags of evidence as hundreds of students watched. [1]

According to the New York Post, video posted on Instagram by the student newspaper, the Daily Athenaeum, showed police officers leaving the residences with the bags. Authorities have not disclosed what the bags contained or released further details about the seized items. [1]

The raids follow previous disciplinary action on the campus. As FTMQ News reported earlier, West Virginia University placed the Lambda Chi fraternity on an interim suspension on October 9 after receiving hazing allegations, following an earlier warning issued by campus police on October 6. [4]

West Virginia University is a public land grant research university based in Morgantown, West Virginia. The institution offers programs in engineering, energy, health sciences, and business, and competes in the Big 12 Conference. [2][3]
