Parents pay tribute to youngest victim of Oregon elementary school shooting

The parents of five-year-old kindergartner Rhoam Summer have paid tribute to their son following a fatal mass shooting at Silver Rail Elementary School in Bend, Oregon, the New York Post reported. His parents, Kelik and Lillian Summer, said that the child loved to dance, loved to help others, and was planning to go pumpkin picking and dress up as a bunny for Halloween. [1]

The tragedy occurred on a Thursday inside a special-needs classroom at the school, according to the New York Post. As FTMQ News reported earlier, four people were killed in the attack, including three students and a teacher, before the 16-year-old gunman was shot dead. [1][7][8]

Previous reports from FTMQ News identified the shooter as 16-year-old Griffin John. Seven-year-old student Saylor Graham-Poarch was also shot in the face during the incident and was transferred to a hospital in Portland, where her condition was stabilized. [7][8]
