Palestinians in Gaza are bracing for the outcome of the upcoming national election in Israel, according to the Guardian. Almost one million displaced Palestinians in Gaza face severe water shortages, poor sanitary conditions, and continuous Israeli military strikes. The Guardian reported that political rivals Benjamin Netanyahu and Gadi Eisenkot have both promised to bring an end to Hamas rule in the territory. [1]

Daily Sabah and The Muslim News both reported that recent Israeli strikes killed at least four Palestinians in Gaza. Anadolu Ajansı reported that another two Palestinians, including a woman, were killed in recent violations of the ceasefire in Gaza. The Guardian reported that nearly 75,000 people have been killed in the territory, where much of the land has been reduced to rubble. [1][3][4][5]

The humanitarian crisis in Gaza has been largely absent from the Israeli election campaign, according to the Guardian. As FTMQ News reported earlier, Israel's military announced that it will implement full closures of all land crossings with the West Bank on election day following a recent military crackdown. [1][9]

As FTMQ News reported earlier, a mass funeral was held in Gaza City for 75 Palestinians whose remains were recovered from under destroyed buildings. The remains were buried at the Sheikh Radwan Cemetery. [10]
