Netflix orders television adaptation of Curtis Sittenfeld novel Prep

Netflix has given a straight-to-series order to an adaptation of Prep, the bestselling debut novel by Curtis Sittenfeld, UPI and Variety reported. [1][2]

The coming-of-age drama follows Lee Fiora, a scholarship student at the prestigious New England boarding school Ault, UPI and Variety reported. The story focuses on her high school years as she navigates friendship, crushes, and social class. [1][2]

Nicole Taylor will adapt the novel for the screen, according to UPI and Variety. UPI reported that author Curtis Sittenfeld will serve as an executive producer alongside Gloria Sanchez, Alix Taylor, and Will Ferrell. [1][2]

Sittenfeld published Prep in 2005. Her other books include the novels The Man of My Dreams, American Wife, Sisterland, Eligible, Rodham, and Romantic Comedy, as well as two short story collections. [7]
