A Minnesota man has been found guilty of second-degree murder in the death of his 16-year-old son, Fox News reported. Jordan Dupree Collins Sr. was convicted on Wednesday after his son, Jordan Manny Collins, disappeared for more than a month and his remains were later recovered from a landfill in Elk River. [1]

Collins represented himself during the murder trial, according to Fox News. Following the verdict, Anoka County Sheriff Brad Wise stated that no verdict can remove the pain felt by loved ones, adding that Manny should still be here today. [1]

The victim was remembered fondly by his family before the trial concluded. His mother, Ashley Berry, previously described the teenager as someone who was always helping others, spreading kindness, and lifting up those around him, Fox News reported. [1]
