UPI reported that major turf horse races in Kentucky and New York will headline this weekend's North American racing calendar. The slate includes Friday's $400,000 Grade II Sycamore at Keeneland, which drew a full gate of 12 horses alongside four also-eligibles. [1]

According to UPI, the upcoming North American races will feature Canada's top three-year-old horse alongside several competitors from last month's meeting at Kentucky Downs. [1]

International action includes Australia's spring carnival with three Grade I events, notably the Caulfield Guineas. Hong Kong star Ka Ying Rising also completed a trial for the Group I The Everest in Sydney, while the Darley Dewhurst for two-year-olds takes place in England, UPI reported. [1]

The international schedule follows recent developments in Irish horse racing. As FTMQ News reported earlier, Horse Racing Ireland set aside a 6.5 million euro surplus for track redevelopments at venues including Leopardstown and Tipperary. [2]
