Kevin Sinfield completes seven ultramarathons for motor neurone disease

Former rugby league player Sir Kevin Sinfield completed seven ultramarathons in seven days at Old Trafford to raise funds for motor neurone disease charities.

Sir Kevin Sinfield completed his latest endurance challenge on Sunday, finishing seven ultramarathons in seven days to raise money for motor neurone disease causes, BBC Sport reported. [1]

Sinfield crossed the finish line at Old Trafford Stadium in Manchester ahead of the Super League Grand Final, carrying the Super League Grand Final trophy into the stadium, according to BBC Sport. [1]

BBC Sport reported that the fundraiser was held in memory of his former teammate Rob Burrow, who died in 2024. Sinfield and his team have raised more than 13 million pounds for the MND community since launching their annual challenges in 2020. [1]

Sinfield is a former professional rugby league footballer who played for the Leeds Rhinos, England, and Great Britain. He currently works as the skills and kicking coach for the England national rugby union team. [2]

Speaking to the crowd at the end of the event, Sinfield stated that the rugby league community has strongly supported the MND community and added that Burrow would be proud, BBC Sport reported. [1]
